Gloria kept showing up. She showed up when she was tired and the morning came early. She showed up during a pandemic when life felt a little uncertain. She showed up when it was just plain HARD. Gloria put in the work, perseverance, and dedication. So today we celebrate with her as she passed her first GED section (Language Arts). Gloria put up her first check mark on the wall in celebration. Congratulations, Gloria!

You did it, Joseph!
Joseph was all smiles when he learned he passed his final GED test and earned his GED this past Thursday. Starting in a GED program after being out of school for many years is a daunting and often overwhelming task for many students. We are so proud of Joseph for putting in the hard work and achieving his goals. Congratulations, Joseph!
Read moreXavier is a graduate!
Last Wednesday was the day Xavier scheduled his final GED test. He walked into The Learning Center with confidence and said, "Today, I'm going to be a graduate.". Xavier would tell you that studying for his final GED section (math) was a struggle for over a year. Xavier was determined to not give up and with dedication he did indeed become a graduate last Wednesday. Xavier said he couldn't have done it without the encouragement from The Learning Center, his teachers, and God. He said coming to The Learning Center helped him realize he needed God and needed to focus on his spiritual health. We are so proud of Xavier for not giving up when it was hard. Immediately after he passed his final GED section, Xavier enrolled in college. Xavier, Congratulations on this huge accomplishment and we will continue to pray for you as you begin your college journey.

Congrats, Dennishia!
Dennishia recently passed three sections of the GED (Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies). Her hard work and determination are moving her forward. When a student passes a section of the GED they get to put a check mark on the wall. We look forward to seeing Dennishia pass the math section and get that final check mark on the wall. Congratulations, Dennishia!
